Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show returns to CBS on the 5th of August to begin its third season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. Her true passion was when she began writing and received an Emmy. Additionally, she was awarded one Emmy award for her outstanding hosting of a talk show. The Talk is a show which analyzes current affairs through five female host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS NewsThe Morning Show on a weekday The Early Show in 2002 as well as in 2010, before becoming the host of the talk show. Before that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the anchor for news on The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks, she traveled to Cairo to conduct an interesting and informative interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with newsmakers including the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania and the former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news program which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter and anchor for WCBS-TV, a CBS-owned station that was based in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN TV Dayton (1995-1997). When she was finishing her last semester at University, she served as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and was the director of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). Her first job was working as an assistant with ABC News, working on the late-night program Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among Moonves' journalistic heroes. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel worked together for Anatomy of a Riot - a primetime television special that was awarded the Columbia du-Pont award - which focused on what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
